Geolah prioritizes safety and reliability for all users. We have a strict Code of Conduct that customers must follow to maintain a positive community. Violations may lead to disciplinary action, including account suspension or termination.

1. Zero Tolerance for Harm

2. Obey Traffic Laws

Follow regulations: Always adhere to road safety regulations.
Avoid illegal requests: Never ask your driver to break the law, such as speeding or stopping in restricted / unsafe areas.
Child restraint: A child standing between 1m-1.35m tall is to be secured with an appropriate restraint, booster seat, or adjustable seatbelt. Under the Road Traffic Act, drivers and customers found not using a seatbelt or appropriate restraints could be fined up to $1,000 or jailed for up to three months, or both.

3. Ride Safe

Buckle up: Always wear a seatbelt to avoid getting fine.
Secure others: Protect children, babies, and pets by using the proper safety equipment as required by local laws (e.g. child booster seats)
Ride protector: All our rides are covered up to $10,000.
Report suspicious behavior: If you suspect your driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, end the trip immediately and contact the authorities. Report the incident to Geolah as well.

Be prompt: Only book a ride when you're ready to go and be punctual during bookings.
Communicate clearly: Communicate with your driver to ensure you meet at the correct location.
Verify identity: Verify your driver's identity before entering the vehicle or handing over your parcel.
Be considerate: Treat your driver with respect and avoid inappropriate or undesirable behavior.
Take your belongings: Remember to collect your items and dispose of your trash before leaving the vehicle.
Provide fair ratings: Show your appreciation for your driver by providing a fair rating and honest feedback.
Tipping: We encourage tipping to support our drivers’ community.
Data privacy: Keep personal data confidential.

7. Be a Responsible Customer

Honest conduct: Do not share or create duplicate accounts.
Proper usage: Avoid overloading the vehicle or using the service for moving bulky items
Accurate payment: Make sure your payment amount and method are correct, and the final fare is accurate
Account security: Keep your account information updated and do not share your account with anyone.

Operating without a valid PDVL/TDVL or driving license.
Failing to declare suspension/revocation of Vocational license
Failing to declare suspension/revocation of driving license
Failing to declare your criminal record.
Not producing your vocational license when requested.

4. Permanent Resident Drivers (PR)

5. Prohibited Criminal Acts

Attempted or actual physical assault.
Verbal or physical sexual harassment.
Rape, murder, or kidnapping.
Thefts, threats and intimidation.
Money laundering.
Engaging in or facilitating scams.
Sexual advances between drivers and customers, whether consensual or otherwise.
Avoid asking overly personal/sensitive questions or commenting on anyone’s appearance.
Refrain from contacting customers after the trip for personal reasons.
In disputes, avoid taking matters into your own hands.

Examples of Infringement

Committing criminal acts on the platform, including physical or sexual assault, rape, murder, or kidnapping.
Engaging in sexual advances.
Explicit staring, leering, or making inappropriate gestures.
Verbal or written harassment, threats, or intimidation via phone calls, messaging apps, or social media.
Use of vulgar, rude, or inappropriate language towards customers.
Any form of physical or in-person harassment.
Contacting or stalking customers after completion of bookings for personal reasons, either online or in person.
Possession of weapons such as guns, pepper spray, batons, or knives.
Possession of illegal drugs or committing any drug-related offenses.
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during a Geolah booking.
Intentional or attempted use of the Geolah app for criminal activities such as drug trafficking, money laundering, or transporting illegal goods.
Defamation and spreading false or harmful information about Geolah.

6. Practice Good Road Safety

Avoid all traffic violations such as reckless driving.
Comply with regulatory and traffic laws.
Obey road signals and traffic lights.
Use hands-free kits while operating your vehicle.
Ensure customers wear seatbelts.
Always wear a seatbelt or helmet.
Take sufficient breaks to avoid fatigue.

Examples of Infringement

Causing injury, permanent disability, or death to customers, third parties, or pedestrians.
Operating a vehicle without a valid license or insurance.
Exceeding speed limits on roads or footpaths.
Driving or riding without a seatbelt or helmet.
Engaging in distracted driving or riding.
Reported unsafe driving or riding behavior.
Intentionally concealing your vehicle registration plate.

7. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection

Examples of Infringement

Internal or external damage affecting vehicle quality or safety (e.g., cracked windscreen, malfunctioning doors or windows, non-working air conditioning).
Using a different vehicle or license other than indicated in the app.
Allowing others to operate your vehicle for Geolah bookings.
Ensure you use the correct mode of transport as registered with Geolah.
Avoid sharing the vehicle during bookings.
Refrain from smoking or vaping in the vehicle.
Maintain cleanliness inside the vehicle.

8. No Fraudulent Activities

Do not share or create duplicate accounts.
Use only the official Geolah app from Google Play or the Apple Store.
Refrain from using applications or devices that modify Geolah’s intended user experience (e.g., location spoofing apps, rooted or jailbroken devices).
Refrain from using fake apps or any unauthorised methods to manipulate or hack into Geolah app. Such actions can compromise the platform's integrity and put user security and data at risk.

Lost Items: Report lost customers' items promptly and make efforts to return them.
Vehicle Maintenance: Adhere to local vehicle inspection requirements and maintain your vehicle according to industry standards.
Technology: Use the official Geolah app and avoid using unauthorized tools or apps that may compromise the platform's integrity.
